As Chief Executive Officer of the GISI Consulting Group, Derek supports our operating companies to provide outstanding client service and drive profitable revenue growth. In addition, through collaboration with the executive team, Derek leads our strategic planning initiatives, participating in merger and acquisition activities and implementing strategies to drive long-term growth.
Prior to joining GISI, Derek served as President of Tetra Tech’s Commercial/International Services Group and Energy Engineering Division and has held leadership roles at WSP, Hess, and Haley & Aldrich. Notably, through the course of his career he has spearheaded the development and implementation of acquisition strategies, with a strong focus on power engineering and consulting, high-performance buildings, as well as infrastructure, mining, and oil and gas engineering and consulting services.
Derek is a registered professional engineer. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University, and his Master of Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
